Hello, Picklehood!
Fantastic news! The six brand new Pickleball courts at Loves Park Playground are complete! WOHOO! The facility really is spectacular! The park is at the corner of Pearl Ave and Hollis Ave in Loves Park. Google maps shows the an old satellite picture of the former lumber yard. Click here for a map.
Now the bad news - the park is still under construction. So please respect the construction zone and continue to play at Sinnissippi until spring. The park is one giant muddy mess as the grass seed has not yet been planted. Rockford Park District will likely have a dedication ceremony in mid to late spring, once the grass is established.

Hello.
I have had many people asking about NIP shirts so I will be placing an order through Skyward Promotions. Please see the attached PDF for shirt styles and prices. All shirts
are wicking polyester and anti-microbial. If you don't see a color that
you like, just email me to see if we can work it out. We can get a
variety of colors, but the ink will be white on all shirts. This will be the last order that I will be placing for quite sometime, so please make sure to order a lot. The men's t-shirts are significantly cheaper through this vendor, so order up.
If you are interested in placing an order please email me with the Style #, Size, Color, and quantity.
Ladies - I will have some sample shirts of the Power Pink Premium Jersey shirts if you would like to try it on for sizing. I will have medium, large, and extra large.
Please make checks payable to Northern Illinois Pickleball.
All monies are due before your order will be confirmed. Monies are due
by Wednesday, August 24th. You can give me a check when you see me on
the courts.

IT'S A PARTY!
What: Thanks & Farewell to Shalda Nelson

When: 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14, 2011 (Regular Drop-in Hours)
After Pickleball, gather at The Backyard Grill in Loves Park for drinks and such.
This is our opportunity to thank Shalda for all her contributions
toward introducing Pickleball in Rockford, developing an enthusiastic
follower-ship, and making the sport a huge success! On August 18,
Shalda and Roger are moving permanently to their Florida home at The
Villages. Let's give them a great send-off!
